April 2021 In Hindsight

The school holiday break usually means going with the flow and having time to tick off all the unimportant jobs that get put on the back burner during the term. I had a quiet Easter break as my boyfriend worked two of the days, so it was an opportunity for me to hang around at home and get all the odd jobs done around the house. We celebrated Easter Sunday at my brother’s new house which is on acreage and is a great place for entertaining. I got away with my sister and more action happened on the house; it is slowly transforming, which is exciting. I spent a big portion of the last month researching ensuites, styles and designs and looking online for products. My boyfriend has allowed me to be the project manager for the ensuite so am pretty pumped for that.

Hired a friend to put up the window and door architraves throughout the house. He also installed our bedroom door. Just in time for winter. The heater warms up our room so quick now. Washed front windows. Pulled up carpet squares from front verandah. Got quotes to get the outside of the house rendered. Nearly ready to get quotes for interior painting. House is looking so much more put together and less holes for the cold to get through.
