People visit to see the beautiful building more so than to borrow the books.

IRELAND

The Old Library of Trinity College in Dublin founded in 1592

CHINA

Tianjin Binhai Library just outside of Beijing - built over three years and opened in 2017. The library features a luminous spherical auditorium with cascading floor to ceiling bookcases.

EGYPT

Bibliotheca Alexandrina - the Great Library of Alexandria - home to 8 million books, plus a museum and planterium

SOUTH KOREA

Starfield Library in COEX Mall in Seoul, South Korea - found in the centre of the shopping mall as an open public space library. Holds over 50 thousand books and magazines

PORTUGAL

Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal - going for the wooden theme in this grand library. The library is well known for inspiring Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling
