Images Of Iran
Iran is a fascinating country. I spent two weeks in Iran on a G Adventures tour last year and was surprised every day by the beauty of the cities, the people and the buildings.
It is a peaceful country, meaning the traffic just flows, there are no sirens by the police or ambulance and horns are rarely used. The people are very happy, welcoming and friendly, pleased you are visiting their country. At the time I visited in July 2019, there were not many tourists, only a select few. With so much bad publicity, tourists are shying away.
But I say, don’t be scared, instead be prepared to be amazed. By the desert, the colourful and time-consuming mosaics, and the traditional Persian carpets. The mosques are open and you are welcome to explore. There are many well kept and established gardens that are a wonder in the middle of a desert. Old ancient ruins and artefacts are inspiring and you must visit the bazaar in each city.
