Adventurer Kit
Online shopping these days is a big thing; you can compare prices and quality online, buy and get it delivered to your front doorstep without needing to leave your home.
So what better way to use your free time now when stuck indoors in self isolation, then prepare for your next adventure. Use your time wisely now, so when we are free to go, we can go without hesitation.
These are things that I would suggest you have in your adventurer kit;
Backpack - travelling with wheels is not practical in Europe, let alone other continents. There are cobblestones, mud, water, steps and did I mention stairs. Stairs at railways, stairs in hotel, hostels. Stairs are everywhere; all over the world. It just makes it somewhat impractical and will get you frustrated.
Camera - might be your iPhone or an actual camera. You need something to record the memories of the trip.
Microfibre Towel - rolls tiny and can be used as a bath or beach towel. Easy to wash and quick to dry. Very convenient for travel.
Travel adapter - to charge the essentials.
Power bank - a battery charger used to charge your mobile on the go.
Rain or wind jacket - inevitably it will rain while you are away. Be prepared. These are costly, but it is worth the investment.
A tiny clothesline or string - somewhere to hang your wet undies you have just hand washed. A lot of places don’t like you to do your washing in your room so do try to be discreet about it. Sunlight is the best to dry your clothes. Hang your line on the curtain rod near a window.
First aid kit – with your basics and particulars to cover you while you are away. Visit the doctor for any vaccinations or medications you may need to take while away. I recently wrote a post of what I consider are essentials for your first aid kit here.
Compression socks - for your longer plane trips.
Headphones - to listen to your Spotify, Podcasts or Netflix. Noise-cancelling ones are great but do take up a lot of space in your carry on.
Waterproof phone pouch - great for things like water or tomato festivals or when taking photos in the ocean. It’s better to be safe than sorry. So many cheap ones out there, just make sure to test it first.
Is there anything else you can think of that’s on your shopping list? We would love it if you joined the conversation and left a comment below.
